About us
Independent radio, across New England.
Full Power Radio is the broadcasting group behind 30 stations reaching Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts — locally owned, independently run, and proud of it.

Locally owned — and that matters
Full Power Radio is a locally-owned, independent broadcasting company — founded and led by veteran broadcaster John Fuller, with roots in Ledyard, Connecticut and stations now reaching across New England.
National chains run much of American radio from out-of-state headquarters. Our stations are owned and operated by people invested in these communities — so for an advertiser, your strategy, your production, and your relationship all stay local.

Heritage on the air since 1939
Among our stations is WDRC — with roots tied to the first commercial FM station in the United States, which signed on in 1939.
In 2018 the WDRC stations, including 102.9 The Whale and The Talk of Connecticut, came under Full Power Radio — bringing that heritage in-house alongside the rest of our lineup.

Built for every audience
We've grown deliberately. We expanded into Spanish-language radio with stations like Latina 100.3 and Bomba Radio, and built a lineup spanning classic rock, talk, country, alternative, urban, and adult contemporary.
Today, one local team can reach almost any audience across the region through a single relationship — and a single media buy.
Local ownership of our radio stations is a core commitment.
